#1201, “Fragments”. Mixed media on panel, 30×24″. $900.
Sometimes I know where I’m going poetically before I even start painting the watercolor, sometimes when I am cutting or arranging.
Sometimes the poems just fall out of the end of the pen once I’ve glued the pieces down and thus inspire the title of a painting. This poem was written for the painting and painted into it:
Fragments
Delicacy of light,
fragmented shadows and rainbows,
a heart breaking with longing
to travel atop clouds
to the source of passion,
to behold the whisper of peace,
scattering tears
