Many skies fill a long hallway.

“Raul’s Week” – five panels of 12″x12″ in acrylic.

I was happy to receive this photo from a recent client showing his commission set of five paintings hung in his long hallway.  “Raul’s Week” is a progression from predawn, dawn, midday, later afternoon storm, and after sunset, and the skyline also progresses from mountains to bay, to shoreline and out across the ocean as the day progresses.

A progression of small skies is a neat way to add some artwork to a narrow hall or stairway – it’s not the first time I’ve created one of these – and gets around the issue of there being a large wallspace, but not being able to appreciate a large piece of art as you can’t stand back and take it all in.
